Southwest Florida is not only renowned for its stunning beaches and vibrant cultural scene but also for its thriving craft beer culture. From crisp lagers to hop-forward IPAs and experimental brews, the region boasts a diverse and exciting range of breweries that cater to beer enthusiasts and casual drinkers alike. Both visitors and locals alike will enjoy these top 10 breweries in Southwest Florida, where passion for craft beer meets exceptional flavors and unforgettable experiences.

Palm City Brewing, Fort Myers, Florida

Point Ybel Brewing Company (Fort Myers):

Nestled in the heart of Fort Myers, Point Ybel Brewing Company combines traditional brewing techniques with innovative twists. With a rotating selection of over 20 beers on tap, including seasonal and limited-edition brews, their offerings never fail to impress. Don’t miss their award-winning Sanibel Red or the refreshing Key Lime Kölsch.

Big Storm Brewing & Distilling co. (Cape Coral):

Offering 5 Florida locations, including the newly opened Cape Coral option, Big Storm has made a big impact on the craft beer scene. Offering a restaurant along with their brewery lets you enjoy a Nashville hot chicken sandwich or (my favorite) fried pickles alongside their Wavemaker Amber Ale or Bromosa brews.

Naples Beach Brewery (Naples):

Although temporarily closed due to storm damage, Naples Beach Brewery is a hidden gem nestled in the charming city of Naples. They offer a selection of handcrafted beers using local ingredients, making them truly representative of the area. Their welcoming taproom is the perfect place to sample their diverse range, including the popular IPA 41 and the smooth, malty Naples Red Ale.

Riptide Brewing Company (Naples):

Riptide Brewing Company is a laid-back brewery in Naples that focuses on creating small-batch, high-quality brews. With a variety of beer styles on tap, including Belgian ales, pale ales, and lagers, Riptide offers something for every palate. Be sure to try their flagship beer, the deliciously balanced Sandbar Sunday Blonde Ale.

Hopsized Brewing Co (Bonita Springs):

Hopsized Brewing was voted the best small brewery in Florida this year (2023), is family and pet friendly, and has non-stop events! What more could you ask for? Great beer? Yes, it has that too! Whether you’re looking for a running club who drinks beer, you like shopping at small businesses at their outdoor market (every 3rd Friday of the month), or you’d just like to sit back with a craft beer and rotating food trucks, Hopsized has it all.

Palm City Brewing (Fort Myers):

Established in 2017, this vibrant brewery has quickly gained a reputation for its exceptional beer offerings, lively atmosphere, and community involvement. Whether you’re a craft beer connoisseur or simply looking for a fun place to hang out with friends, Palm City Brewing Company is worth a visit. Also look for their Hazify IPA available now in select Total Wine stores.

Fort Myers Brewing Company (Fort Myers):

Fort Myers Brewing Company is a local favorite that has been serving craft beer enthusiasts since 2013. With a wide range of year-round and seasonal brews, this brewery has something for everyone. Don’t miss their Gateway Gold Blonde Ale or the award-winning High 5 IPA, which exemplify their commitment to quality.

Crazy Dingo Brewing Company (Fort Myers):

We stumbled upon Crazy Dingo Brewing Company while shopping for pumpkins last fall at Southern Fresh Farms. That’s right, this isn’t your traditional tap room, in more ways than one. Southern Fresh Farms is a non-profit educational farm that also offers a market, food trucks, events, and a brewery! Crazy Dingo is a small operation and has a constantly changing rotation of beers, allowing you to find a new favorite often! Currently there are no to-go cans or growlers from this establishment. So pull up a seat, let the kids run on the playground, and listening to live music while sipping your new favorite brew.

Coastal Dayz Brewery (Fort Myers):

Located in Downtown Fort Myers on McGregor Blvd, Costal Days has well-crafted beers that range from light and refreshing to rich and complex. Savor their popular Seaz The Day Hazy IPA or Beach Hound Brown. You can even order pizza from next door at McGregor pizza! Their website says they are unable to accommodate children due to their size although pets are a-ok. Best to save this brewery for a date night or visit with your best 4 legged pal.

Bone Hook Brewing Co. (Naples):

Bone Hook Brewing Co. combines traditional brewing methods with modern innovation. They offer an impressive array of beers, including their flagship L’il Napoleon IPA and the smooth Gulf Coast Logger Lager. With a spacious taproom and friendly staff, it’s a great place to enjoy a cold brew with friends.
